Leatherback Turtles, the biggest member of the turtle family, come to UK waters and tragically they are increasingly mistaking these plastic bags for jelly fish, which are it’s only source of food. They can then suffocate on the bags.

Plastic bags are a hazard and in the UK a company have developed the 'Turtle Bag' which are an alternative to the plastic carrier bag. You know, he actually visits the Science Reading Room at the University of Washington every week when home. He copies interesting articles he knows I should read about seabirds, whales, and more. He is a most intense and thoughtful Monkey, that Fred!

Thanks Jody for hosting his visit and I will be looking forward to his sneaking back home from time to time on his frequent flyer mile program.
